Morocco loves doors

Blue ones.

Numerous ones.

Ornate ones.

Look up

The reason here is obvious.

But the rest of the time, you never know what you might see.

And it's often pretty amazing.

Just look up.

Shiny and sweet

Some of the best things are shiny and sweet. But meals must be eaten first.

Oh OK, if it's necessary.

Eating these amazing meals can't be that hard.

People, corridors, meat

There are so many interesting people in every street market . . .

. . . so many hidden corridors around every corner . . .

. . . and so much meat just hanging there, creepy.

Which way . . .

. . . to the beach?

Seriously, can help a couple pigs out?

That's better.

Harold's cousin

Meet Arnold and his read crayons. He's Harold's cousin, you know, the one with the purple crayon.

You can see his work (see) . . .

. . . at the Musee de Marrakesh.

It's awesome there.

There are so many cool things . . .

. . . and so many . . . interesting . . . things there.

Everything . . .

. . . in Morocco is amazing to look at.

There's a surprise around every corner.

Tajine anyone?

It is hot . . .

. . . but that doesn't matter.

We even got to help make oil.

Everything here is so ornate.

It's kinda fun to just stare.

If only we had time for an afternoon nap.

The food . . . holy pig the food

Taijine cooked chicken & saffron couscous anyone? Yes, this trip does seem less about our site seeing side & more about indulging our piggie-ness doesn't it?

These pastries scream at us from every shop! We will start with the Shebakkia (fried pastry topped with honey & sesame seed) as it is a special Ramadan treat & then work our way back to the rest of those sugary delights! Including our favorite the sellou!

And of course, mint tea at a hammam. We can't show you the process as you can only wear your undies but rest assured we were fully relaxed and took our time sipping our mint tea after in their relaxation room.

Nice ride

Complete with a bottle holder.

What's so special about a palace?

It was hard not to look up at Palais Bahia.

It felt like a palace visiting day so we hit Palais Badia. Moroccan Oasis?

We can only hope that one day this all can be hours.

Nice skylight.

Everything was so ornate. Our walls, floors and ceilings are not nearly this awesome.

Happy Birthday . . . Moroccan style

Dessert for every meal, with a meal or as a meal. That's not Moroccan style, that's just how we roll. Creme caramel anyone?!

Pumpkin carrot shallot goat cheese spring rolls with a sesame oil dressing & a warm goat cheese salad with a balsamic mango dressing ... well we just feel like little piggies eating this bounty!

Ohhh sweet tajine . . .

. . . open, open, open and show us your tasty treats!

Awesome.

And let us not forget, spiced tea with sesame chocolate goodness is where it's at. I think I've found my new obsession! Starbucks shmarbucks.

Morning Mint

A must in Morocco.

Stop sign? 0r . . .

Beware of kayaks?

Moroccan arrival

What's a Moroccan arrival you ask? Hot.

At least the signage was easy.

But seriously, Texas, let us get away for at least a little bit.
